This policy describes the information collection, use, and dissemination practices of RockPit ("RockPit") and applies to "RockPit" collection, use, storage and disclosure of information by RockPit on its (a) websites, including all its divisions, subsidiaries and related companies (collectively, the "Websites") and (b) on various Third Party websites. RockPit is not responsible for the information collection or privacy practices of Third Party websites or applications. Please take a moment to read the following to learn more about our information practices, including what type of information is gathered, how the information is used and for what purposes, to whom we disclose the information, and how we safeguard your personal information.
What Information We Collect
In order to receive alerts or notification via email and SMS text message, you will need to create a user account which requires you to provide us with some personal information. During the sign up process you will be required to provide certain personal information, such as your phone number, email address, name, postal address, and date of birth. The personal information that you provide us may be given through this website or though messages you send to us from your cell phone. In all cases, your personal information will be covered by this Privacy Policy. Registering at RockPit.com automatically subscribes you to the RockPit newsletter, a periodic email and SMS text message communicating various offers or promotions that we think you might like based on the registration information you provided.
Use of Information Collected
We use your contact information to send you information about our company and promotional material from our partners. We may also use your personal, demographic and profile data for marketing and promotional purposes, send SMS alerts or notification, and for editorial or feedback purposes for our advertisers. Information collected by us may be added to our databases and used for future telemarketing, SMS text-messaging, e-mails or postal mailings. By using this site, you agree that you may be contacted in any manner contemplated in this section even if your number is found on a do not call registry, in-house list or similar registry.
Site Membership or Registration
To the extent registration is required to receive email, SMS text message, and postal communications from RockPit, this Privacy Policy also applies to consumers that have agreed to receive e-mail marketing from us, whether at our Website, via email, on Third Party websites or otherwise.
RockPit newsletter subscription occurs when an end-user registers for our services, either registration at our website or co-registration at a marketing partner's website. We collect personally identifiable information about our subscribers based on: information gathered at the time of registration, subscriber interaction and response to subsequent electronic mailings and website use, two way SMS text communication information, and information appended from data aggregators. Information collected may include, not limited to: name, email address, postal address, gender, birth date, telephone number, activity, interests, user behavior and other demographic information.
How We Protect Your Personal Information
RockPit follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Email Anti-Spam Policy
RockPit does not send unsolicited commercial email through our systems. If you believe you have received an unsolicited commercial email from RockPit on behalf of any of our advertisers, please send an email (with the reported unsolicited commercial email included or attached with the ‘full header’) to: abuse@rockpit.com.
No Information Collected from Children
RockPit will not knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of 18. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected personal information about a child under the age of 18, that information will be immediately deleted from our database. Because it does not collect such information, RockPit has no such information to use or to disclose to Third Parties. RockPit has designed this policy in order to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA").
Email and Unsubscribe/Opt-out Policy
RockPit uses individual information to provide promotional offers by email to individuals. We may maintain separate email lists for different purposes. If email recipients wish to end their email subscription from a particular list, they should follow the instructions at the end of each email message to unsubscribe from the particular list. To unsubscribe or opt-out from all our email lists, a person must send an email to unsubscribe@rockpit.com. Our unsubscribe/ opt-out process impacts only the future delivery of electronic mailings disseminated by RockPit on its own behalf. You may still receive electronic mailings sent on behalf of Third Parties and your personal information may still be shared with Third Parties for use in off-line marketing and data appends, including email appends.
For SMS text messages, you may remove your information by replying "STOP", "END", "QUIT" to the SMS text message you have received and we will remove your personal information within 10 days of receiving such request.
